1 year y Xmas ☃️

Hola a todos! I hope each of you had a wonderful last week. I wanted to just take a few moments to share what has been happening out in the Maryland, Baltimore mission.

This last week we had exchanges so I had the opportunity to be with Elder Diestra. He's from Peru and honestly he's so funny. He's working on his English but it's coming along pretty well. He's going go be a great missionary.
I hit a year!! It felt very anticlimatic but it is so crazy to think that I am on the downhill slide. This last year has been so hard, so fun, and so fast. To just give a quick summary of the last year...
Areas: Frederick, Maryland, Winchester, Virginia
Companions: Elder Benson, Elder Arnett, Elder Nelson, Elder Stewart, and Elder Moore.
I've had so many ups and downs but I am so grateful for the support of each and every one of you. I am confident that without it I would not be here. I know I still have a long ways to go, but I am grateful for this opportunity that I have had to be a missionary. I bear witness of the truthfulness of the message we carry. I testify not because it is my responsibility but rather because it is what I feel as a growing and unshakable testimony. I bear witness that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. That it came forth the way Joseph Smith said it came forth and that through the Book of Mormon, a separate but powerful spiritual tool, any child of God can know for themselves as well. As missionaries we extend simple invitations. We invite all to read The Book of Mormon. To ponder in their hearts the message it contains and then to ask God. Pray unto Him with all energy of heart if these things are not true and He will manifest the truthfulness of them unto you. Forget the politics, forget the public opinions, knee to knee and eye to eye with the Lord YOU have to know what is true. Because your eternity depends on it.
The Christmas season is a crazy time of year. We've been super busy and there has just been so much to do. We've been watching the Christ Child video the church produced with as many people as we can. It brings such a spirit into the homes of all who watch. I'll include a link at the bottom for those who have not had the opportunity to watch it. I am grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. As we near the new beginnings of the new year, I have had the opportunity to reflect on the humble beginnings of the life of Christ. Humility is a recognition and a demonstration of the fact that we have a complete dependence on God. We accept His will as ours, and everything falls second. As we ponder the birth of Jesus Christ, I invite all of you to reevaluate and examine where you can be more humble. Allow the hand of the Lord to preside in our life regardless of your fears, worries, stresses, or opinions. I promise that as you do so you will find more peace and joy in your life than you have ever experienced.
