Hola a todos! I hope you're doing well. I apologize for not being able to send out an email last week. It's been crazy and busy these last couple of weeks. But to start, I got transferred! I said Adios to Winchester, VA, and now I'm in Hagerstown, MD! I've absolutely loved it so far. My new companion is Elder Smack and it's been so much fun. The branch in this area is amazing. The members are super missionary-minded and it seems to be a very mature branch for where it's at. The work in this area is a lot different than any other area I've been in. There aren't a ton of latinos here, so we have to work pretty hard to see success.
I got to go on exchanges back down to my old area Frederick this last week. It felt strangely nostalgic to be knocking the same doors I knocked a year ago. It goes by fast! I'm about to round the corner on 13 months and it's really starting to hit me just how little time I actually have left. I wanted to thank each of you for the support you've continuously offered me over the last few years. I know it's said a lot, but truly I would not be where I am right now if it wasn't for you.
With the new year, I hope that each of you have had the opportunity to make new goals for this coming year. Goals allow us to stretch, grow, and achieve our divine potential as sons and daughters of God. Whether it be financially, educationally, spiritually, physically, or emotionally, set goals. Set individual goals as well as shared goals in your relationships. I promise you that you will come to recognize where the Lord would have you labor to improve yourself and grow as a disciple of Him.
This transfer we've placed a focus on the Atonement of Jesus Christ, or His great suffering for all mankind. As I've studied this topic more in depth, I've come to understand the reality and power of forgiveness. Forgiveness from God, our neighbor, and even ourselves is all included in this great sacrifice. I testify that the Atonement of Jesus Cjrist is real. That He died for each and every one of you, because he loves you.
