Miracles and Chicken Toes

Hola a todos! I hope that each of you are doing well. I know it's been a little bit since I've written one of these, so I'll try to hit the highlights.

For starters, my goodness it is getting so cold. It actually warmed up the last couple of days which was nice but it has been dropping in temperature so rapidly. The fall here in Virginia is so pretty though. All of the trees have changed color and driving down the road is a great mix of yelllow and red. I'm not sure exactly when we are going to see snow for the first time, but it is supposed to drop below freezing at night in a couple days.
Our area has so much potential. It is crazy. My companion Elder Stewart and I have been working hard to teach as much as possible and stay on top of all the people that we are teaching. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways. This last week especially. I feel like I've just been a little more observant in that I've been looking for miracles that happen every single day. It feels like the more I look, and the more I journal them, the more we find. What I have also come to realize is the importance of prayer and personal revelation in missionary work. I feel like I had regressed a little bit in my faith to find and my desire to seek the Lord's will over the last transfer or so, and we've made sure recently that we pray. A lot. We've seen so many miracles from it as well. Oh and I'm training Elder Stewart right now which is super fun.
As the weather has gotten colder, we have started to move our soccer nights inside of the church to be able to play futsal(basically just indoor soccer). With the world cup just around the corner, two things have happened. 1. I have loved talking with people about their countries, their favorite teams, and all things soccer as a way to get to know them. 2. I think I might die. The world cup is the coolest thing ever and I can't even watch it.
Man I got sick for the first time on the mission this last week. I was running a fever, coughing, and ended up sleeping for a grand 5 hour nap. But then I felt better so we headed out. Being sick on the mission is one of the worst things in the world though.
As far as eating strange things goes, we were putting down some chicken feet on Saturday which was quite the experience. That one rivals the cow head I had in Frederick. A member had us over and put down a big bowl of chicken feet soup but gnawing off the arch of a chicken foot was something else.
Anyway, I hope all of you are well! I appreciate your prayers and your support from wherever you may be. I'll get you some pictures.
