Hola a todos! I hope you all are doing amazing.
This last week has been super fast yet again. We started off the week with exchanges which were amazing. Elder Chatterley is pretty freaking hilarious. Elder Chatterley goes home in 7 weeks which is actually crazy.
Okay let me share for a quick minute about the weather. This week was absolutely ridiculous. In the span of 48 hours, the temperature dropped from 85 degrees down to 50. I've been a little angry about the weather because I know what's just around the corner in terms of snow again.
My companion and I have been trying to keep up our fitness levels [more or less] so now we've been going on a 2 mile trail run every single day. It's so pretty and the colors of the leaves are beginning to change. I've heard autumn is so beautiful here.
Saturday night we had a huge cultural night at the church where everyone brought food and cultural reminders of their countries. Among those represented were Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. It was fun to try all of the different foods and talk about their different customs and traditions.
Thus week we get transfer news on Saturday! This will just mean that we will find out who's leaving Winchester and who will be coming in.
As a spiritual thought, I wanted to share about Repentance. I know that repentance is often used as a backup plan. An "If" I mess up tool. I'm here to bear testimony of the power of DAILY repentance. It's something our mission president has talked a lot about and the peace of mind that it has brought me as I have LOOKED for things to fix in my life is incomparable. Repentance is a gift that we must use if we desire happiness in this life. I testify that the weight and the consequences of sin are real but so are the relief, joy, and peace that come when we repent.
