Hola a todos!
I hope this past week has been wonderful for each of you. This past week has been amazing, especially finishing off with General Conference this weekend.
To start, I love the weather. I have never been incredibly fond of the cold here and it's a blessing to see overcast skies and warming temperatures.
A lot of the people we're teaching were able to watch conference and they absolutely loved it! We have a few people that are progressing immensely this last week and conference only furthered that progress so much more. There's a certain spirit that comes with listening to God's ordained and set apart apostles and prophets. My personal favorite talk was the one given by Elder Bednar, that references Hymn 243 that says "We will heed not what the wicked will say but the Lord alone we will obey." Elder Bednar references the great and spacious building with empty and fake joy and the absence of a foundation. To close I bear testimony that the redeeming psychological and spiritual joy, peace, and relief we can feel through repentance of our sins is real. The more I've been out here on my mission, the more I've realized that everyone's made dumb mistakes. No one is perfect or exempt from temptation. In a generation striving for perfection more and more we find ourselves with less and less of it. Please find the joy in daily repentance. Find the joy in talking to a bishop or priesthood leader. I can promise you that there is no substitute for pure joy through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
