Hola familia! This last week has absolutely flown by for us. Starting with the weather, it's mostly just been overcast and raining which is not my favorite weather to peoscilite in, but everything has turned SO green. I haven't seen this much green since I lived in Washington.
Starting with Tuesday, my companion had an amazing idea to make cookies and hand them out with pamphlets of the plan of salvation. So after making cookies for several hours, we set up a table at a very busy intersection and handed them out as the moms and kids walked home. We had a ton of success and went through and handed out more than 50 pamphlets of the plan of salvation.
This week we also had zone conference! Seeing everyone again was a ton of fun. Zone conferences are an incredible opportunity to feel the spirit and learn from other missionaries as we gather together from across the mission.
I do have to say that my highlight of the week was being able to enter and tour the DC temple during the open house. We went on Friday and it was absolutely incredible. The workmanship and artwork were incredible. The people in the area who see if refer to it as Disneyland because it looks like a castle. Entering the house of the Lord is a privilege in the midst of a tumultuous world. Why? Because there is not and will not be any other place in the entire world where we can find equal peace, assurance, and revelation. I have a testimony of the temple and I testify that they truly are the houses of the Lord.
