Elder Blackburn - Lessons and Tornados

Hola mi familia! I apologize because I know it's been a little while since I've sent out a weekly email but things have just been crazy as we've pulled to a close on my third transfer.

The biggest news of the week is that I am not going to be transferred! This means that I will most likely stay in Frederick until the end of August/beginning of September. Which I am excited about it. Frederick is the "promised land" for Spanish speaking missionaries in the mission because almost every single door you knock is Latino.
Can't think of any real big updates. We've got Jonathon from Guatemala 🇬🇹 on date for baptism for July 10th.
I've also had some amazing food this week. We had a BBQ with Berny who's from Costa Rica and he made us some incredible grilled meat. He also made us eat these spiky fruit things that were soooo good. (Picture included below).
Elder Arnett and I have focused on being baptism focused this last transfer and so we've had a lot of great conversations as we seek to develop our personal philosophies of the work that will bring the most success. We were able to hit a new record this past week with a total of 6 lessons one day. But hopefully we will see lots of success this next transfer if the Lord allows it.
We had a tornado watch this last week on Friday which was kind of exciting because I didn't know Maryland had tornados. We didn't end up getting one, but it rained super super hard and we had some high winds.
Last week we went to Harper's Ferry and enjoyed a short hike to a lookout. Since Elder Arnett is going home in one transfer, we're trying to get him on skinny season so he's in top shape before he goes home.
I'll close with my mission verse. 2 Nephi 26:33 says
33 For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.
